Testimonials

  • Our previous TIG welding equipment produced uneven welds on titanium alloy aerospace components, requiring additional polishing. We later purchased the 3D Automatic Fiber Laser Welding Machine from ElephMax. This equipment helped us achieve consistently smooth weld quality, significantly improving our production efficiency. Its high level of automation also helped us effectively reduce labor costs by nearly 20%.

Aerospace Parts Production | Mr. Julian Hayes, USA
  • We previously used separate welding and rust removal equipment to process metal doors, but the process was too cumbersome. Later, we were recommended to purchase the ElephMax MCCW15 General 4-in-1 Fiber Laser Welding Machine. This all-in-one compact machine integrates four functions, greatly streamlining our workflow, cutting power consumption, and trimming required floor space by around 12 square meters.

Metal Door and Window Fabrication | Mr. Montree Prempreeda, Thailand
  • Previously, after processing thin metal billboards and other products using arc welding equipment, we had to polish them to make them look aesthetically pleasing. This was too slow. Later, a friend recommended the ElephMax 1000W handheld fiber laser welder, which was perfectly suited for the thin metal sheets we needed to process. Our production cycle time decreased by 21%, and we subsequently took on more projects.

Decorative Signage Production | Mr. Oliver Reed, Malaysia
  • Previously, we used TIG welding technology to process automotive exhaust pipes and aluminum chassis components. Because the resulting welds were relatively rough, subsequent polishing was necessary, leading to low production efficiency. After switching to the ElephMax handheld fiber laser welder, the welds on automotive metal parts are now very smooth. Our processing speed has also increased, and we have successfully received more OEM orders.

How Much Does a Laser Welding Machine Cost?

The price of our fiber laser welding machine is affected by the laser power, function type, and laser source.

Higher laser power brings better processing performance at a higher cost. 4-in-1 configurations cost more than 3-in-1 or single-function versions, and imported IPG sources are pricier than domestic Raycus/MAX units.

Operating modes, accessories and custom demands also affect pricing. ElephMax can tailor the most cost-effective fiber laser welder to fit your budget and project requirements.

How Fast Can I Recover the Investment in a Laser Welding Machine?

Your payback period depends on your daily output, labor cost savings, and less post-weld processing work.

ElephMax fiber laser welding machines feature high automation and deliver smooth welds, cutting labor and polishing expenses. Most metalworking shops with stable orders can recoup their costs within 6–12 months.

How Many Meters of Welding Can One Machine Complete Per Day?

Daily welding workload is affected by factors such as laser power, material, and sheet thickness. The ElephMax handheld laser welding machine operates 3 to 5 times faster than TIG welders, enabling it to complete hundreds of meters of welding on medium-thin metal sheets daily.

Can Fiber Laser Welding Replace TIG Completely?

No, fiber laser welding cannot completely replace TIG welding. However, when processing thin plates with a thickness of less than 5mm, fiber laser welding is far superior to TIG in terms of welding speed, quality, and operational threshold, and can be used as a perfect substitute for TIG.

What Is the Difference Between Fiber Laser Welding and Argon Arc Welding?

They work differently: fiber lasers weld using a focused laser beam, while TIG uses a high-temperature arc generated by a tungsten electrode.

If you require higher welding speeds, fiber laser welding is recommended. Fiber laser welding is 3 to 5 times faster than traditional methods, can process more material, produces smooth welds, and requires less operator skill.

TIG performance is highly dependent on operator skill, is only suitable for common metals, and is ineffective on reflective materials such as aluminum and copper.

How to Choose a Fiber Laser Welding Machine?

First, you need to select the laser power based on the material and thickness; for instance, processing 2mm carbon steel requires 1000W of power.

Next, choose 3-in-1 or 4-in-1 based on your budget and output needs. The cost-effective 3-in-1 covers welding, surface cleaning and thin metal cutting. Pick 4-in-1 if you need extra weld seam cleaning.

Additionally, pick your laser source (Raycus/MAX), cooling system and handheld model. Custom OEM options are offered, and we will customize cost-effective solutions for you.

Which Materials Cannot Be Welded Using a Laser Welding Machine?

The ElephMax 1064nm handheld fiber laser welder cannot reliably process transparent non-metals such as glass and ceramics, common plastics, and materials like pure silver and pure gold. Furthermore, it is not well-suited for welding dissimilar metals that cannot be directly fused, such as copper and aluminum, workpieces with thick paint coatings, or steel plates thicker than 8- 10 mm.

What Maintenance Is Required for a Fiber Laser Welding Machine?

To ensure the stable operation and longevity of the fiber laser welding machine, you need to clean the lens daily and check the chiller and gas supply. The chiller filter and the interior of the equipment also require regular cleaning; additionally, damaged parts, such as nozzles, must be replaced promptly.
