What Is a Fiber Laser Welding Machine?
As a professional CNC machinery maker, ElephMax supplies single-function handheld units, 3/4-in-1 multi-function handheld models and 3D automatic workstations.
By focusing a laser beam to rapidly melt metal, they achieve non-contact, high-speed welding of materials such as carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and copper, producing smooth and uniform welds. They are widely used in various industries, including hardware, new energy, medical devices, and shipbuilding.
Types of ElephMax Fiber Laser Welding Machine

Fitted with a 3000W Maxphotonics laser, this MCCW30 machine realizes four switchable functions: welding, cutting, surface cleaning and weld seam cleaning.

It supports an optional 15 mm scanning width for laser cleaning, integrates four functions, is easy to operate, and can weld various metals and clean surface rust and oil stains.

The 5-axis gantry system enables long-duration unattended operation of irregular parts. With 30-35% electro-optic efficiency, it reduces energy consumption and operating costs.

Its 2000W Maxphotonics source welds metal sheets up to 5mm while the handheld head also handles cutting, surface cleaning, and weld-seam cleaning for cabinet, furniture, and metal fabrication work.

With a 1000W fiber laser, it enables 360° high-speed welding for complex parts, ideal for thin advertising and decorative workpieces.

Available from 1000W to 3000W, this compact 3-in-1 system handles metal welding, cutting, and non-contact cleaning while taking up less workshop space than separate machines.

Benefits Of Fiber Laser Welding Machine

Built with MAX or Raycus fiber laser sources, it delivers up to 30–35% electro-optical efficiency with stable long-term operation.

It comes with a matching industrial water chiller corresponding to the laser power to sustain steady heat dissipation and helps reduce power degradation.

Equipped with long fiber cables and light welding torches, our portable fiber laser welder suits workshop batch work and on-site maintenance.

Options include single-function, 3-in-1, and 4-in-1 configurations, helping save workspace and reduce equipment investment by replacing multiple machines.

It efficiently welds carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum alloy and galvanized sheets, suitable for the hardware, new energy, medical and shipbuilding industries.

Laser welding speed is 3–5 times that of argon arc welding, significantly reducing processing time per unit and increasing production efficiency.

Concentrated laser heat input results in a small heat-affected zone and smooth, even weld seams, reducing the need for secondary grinding and polishing.

Equipped with a touchscreen control system, even beginners can quickly get started with simple training.
Low Labor Costs
Equipped with an intelligent CNC control system, our fiber laser welding machine can pre-store preset calibration welding parameters for various materials such as stainless steel, aluminum alloy, and titanium alloy. This reduces reliance on experienced welders and produces uniform, smooth welds, thus saving labor costs associated with secondary polishing.
Our 3D Automatic Fiber Laser Welding Machine can automatically plan welding trajectories and perform real-time weld tracking, supporting unattended continuous batch production, thereby further helping you reduce labor costs.

Testimonials
The price of our fiber laser welding machine is affected by the laser power, function type, and laser source.
Higher laser power brings better processing performance at a higher cost. 4-in-1 configurations cost more than 3-in-1 or single-function versions, and imported IPG sources are pricier than domestic Raycus/MAX units.
Operating modes, accessories and custom demands also affect pricing. ElephMax can tailor the most cost-effective fiber laser welder to fit your budget and project requirements.
Your payback period depends on your daily output, labor cost savings, and less post-weld processing work.
ElephMax fiber laser welding machines feature high automation and deliver smooth welds, cutting labor and polishing expenses. Most metalworking shops with stable orders can recoup their costs within 6–12 months.
Daily welding workload is affected by factors such as laser power, material, and sheet thickness. The ElephMax handheld laser welding machine operates 3 to 5 times faster than TIG welders, enabling it to complete hundreds of meters of welding on medium-thin metal sheets daily.
No, fiber laser welding cannot completely replace TIG welding. However, when processing thin plates with a thickness of less than 5mm, fiber laser welding is far superior to TIG in terms of welding speed, quality, and operational threshold, and can be used as a perfect substitute for TIG.
They work differently: fiber lasers weld using a focused laser beam, while TIG uses a high-temperature arc generated by a tungsten electrode.
If you require higher welding speeds, fiber laser welding is recommended. Fiber laser welding is 3 to 5 times faster than traditional methods, can process more material, produces smooth welds, and requires less operator skill.
TIG performance is highly dependent on operator skill, is only suitable for common metals, and is ineffective on reflective materials such as aluminum and copper.
First, you need to select the laser power based on the material and thickness; for instance, processing 2mm carbon steel requires 1000W of power.
Next, choose 3-in-1 or 4-in-1 based on your budget and output needs. The cost-effective 3-in-1 covers welding, surface cleaning and thin metal cutting. Pick 4-in-1 if you need extra weld seam cleaning.
Additionally, pick your laser source (Raycus/MAX), cooling system and handheld model. Custom OEM options are offered, and we will customize cost-effective solutions for you.
The ElephMax 1064nm handheld fiber laser welder cannot reliably process transparent non-metals such as glass and ceramics, common plastics, and materials like pure silver and pure gold. Furthermore, it is not well-suited for welding dissimilar metals that cannot be directly fused, such as copper and aluminum, workpieces with thick paint coatings, or steel plates thicker than 8- 10 mm.
To ensure the stable operation and longevity of the fiber laser welding machine, you need to clean the lens daily and check the chiller and gas supply. The chiller filter and the interior of the equipment also require regular cleaning; additionally, damaged parts, such as nozzles, must be replaced promptly.
